My first visual studies lesson was dynamic and motivating. I am used to a more formal style of lesson, concentrating on a still life to produce two or three detailed images, whereas in this lesson we worked quickly spending no more than five minutes on each sketch. We worked from images of paintings from a number of different movements.


The result was a fluid, linear approach, emphasising the shape and space surrounding the details in the image.

    Would like the drawings bigger though, I can't see the details
